As we journey through life, different stages and challenges may provoke questions and test assumptions. While they are normal human experiences, the questions they motivate may feel too heavy to handle alone. The good news is you don’t have to go it alone! We can explore your questions and thoughts at your pace. Whatever your concern, it can provide a good start for reflection and exploration.
Philosophically relevant ideas are not limited to philosophy texts and journals. Other disciplines in the humanities are rich with philosophical considerations. Theories in social and natural sciences intersect with philosophical questions. Novels, theatre, and movies can likewise raise interesting philosophical concerns.
You don’t need to have studied philosophy to benefit from philosophical counseling. It is a broad approach to counseling. If you want to see if it is suitable for you, just arrange a 30 minute session.
My approach to counseling is to listen attentively, help clarify ideas and assumptions, identify values and priorities, provide guidance, promote your critical reasoning skills, and emphasize future application.
